Innovative Training Techniques

By Sean Heagney

Whatever your goals… You need to see progress.

Progressive overload is the gradual increase in stress placed upon the body in order to achieve beneficial physical adaptations.

One of the most common aspects of training is understanding that more is not better.

However better is better…

What we mean by this is that when trying to get stronger it is important to understand that different variables benefit different people.

When we work with clients we have to think ‘what do we need to do for this client to get them stronger?’

Sometimes as coaches we manipulate:

  • Frequency

  • Volume

  • Intensity

  • Exercise technique

  • Muscle Action

  • Tempo

  • Exercise selection

  • recovery protocols

  • advanced training techniques…

The list goes on and on.

This workshop explains many of these aspects and helps you understand the science of training and what you may need to consider in order to overcome and plateaus.
